All the Mods 11 drops you into four hundred mods at once. Here is the path through the noise, tuned for your first couple of sessions on a server.
minute one: the quest book
Open the FTB Quests book from your inventory screen. You do not have to follow it religiously, but the early chapters are a guided tour of the pack and many quests hand you free gear and resources for things you were going to do anyway.
claim land before you build
On VYPR, press M for the map, drag-select the chunks around your base site and claim them. Claimed chunks are protected from other players. Do this before you invest hours into a base. Run /sethome too, so you can always get back with /home.
/kit starter gives tools and food, /rtp throws you into fresh wilderness away from spawn builds, and /daily starts your login streak.food that scales
Torch up, build a 9x9 farm, and look at Farmers Delight early — its cooking pot meals feed you for ages. Sweet berries and cooked meat carry the first days. Do not sleep on the pack food quests; several award solid meals.
early mods that punch above their weight
- Sophisticated Backpacks — inventory pain disappears with one backpack and an upgrade or two.
- Mystical Agriculture — plant inferium seeds the moment you find essence; future-you says thanks. See the full guide.
- Apotheosis — enchanting and gear affixes; hoard the gems and materials mobs drop, they matter later.
- Waystones / Nature Compass — travel and biome finding without coordinates pain.
your first tech step
Pick one power mod and commit early — in ATM11 the friendliest is Powah (guide here). A Furnator or two eating spare coal will run your first machines: an ore doubler, a powered furnace, and eventually the Mystical Agriculture growth setup.
the mid-game direction
Everything in ATM eventually points at Allthemodium — the pack-exclusive ore that gates the endgame. When your gear feels comfortable, read the Allthemodium guide and start the hunt.
